Our Story
Laminet® was founded in 2007 by John Smith, an entrepreneur with a passion for flooring and interior design. John frequently hosted dinner parties but was frustrated by spills and stains ruining his expensive carpets and hardwood floors. He began researching materials that could protect his floors without compromising their appearance.
After testing various prototypes, John developed a slip-resistant film that was thin, transparent, and could adhere securely to floor surfaces. The film allowed spills to be easily wiped up while preventing scratches, damage, and wear to the floor underneath.
Impressed with his creation, John patented his non-slip film and launched Laminet®. The company quickly became known for its innovative peel-and-stick floor protectors that keep floors pristine through years of use. Our non-slip carpet protector films cover wall-to-wall carpeting, area rugs, and carpeted stairs. The transparent laminate film adheres securely to the carpet surface to prevent liquid spills, pet accidents, and dirt stains from penetrating and damaging the carpet fibers. The film can be easily trimmed to fit any size rug and peeled up for replacement when worn.
